YWP Utilities, Inc. Continues Water Savings Rebate Program

YWP Utilities, Inc. customers may earn up to a total of $325 in YWP Utilities, Inc. rebate credits by upgrading to more efficient plumbing fixtures and appliances. Under a new indoor water conservation program approved by the YWP Utilities, Inc. Board of Directors, YWP Utilities, Inc. customers can receive credit on their water bills by installing water-saving toilets and High Efficiency (HE) clothes washers. 

Under the plan, customers with homes built before 1994 may apply for $100 in credit for installing low-volume toilets that consume 1.6 gallons of water or less per flush. Each household is eligible for up to two such credits. The toilets can save the average family of about 25 gallons per day, or roughly 9,000 gallons per year. Also included in the plan is a $125 credit for HE washers, which can save about 13 gallons of water per day or 5,000 gallons per year, in addition to saving on electric bills.

Include proof of purchase and a photo of the installed appliance or fixture, and submit to YWP Utilities, Inc. by mail. Purchases made after January 1, 2003 may be applied for either rebate. However, only accounts in good standing may be considered for the indoor conservation credits. ECCV staff will randomly inspect the new appliances in households that have applied for the rebates.
